Camden CAB
Macmillan Welfare Benefits Service - Royal Free NHS Trust
In March 2009 a new service for people affected by cancer was set up at The Royal Free Hospital. We provide advice to hospital inpatients, outpatients and their families and carers and offer advice on welfare benefits, debt, employment and housing. We also act as a resource for staff in relation to their patients.
The service is funded by Macmillan with a dedicated full-time senior adviser.
We accept referrals from the new Macmillan Information Centre and from clinical nurse specialists. Our service delivery is flexible; we offer appointments and can also see patients on the wards. We can be found in the new oncology outpatient department on the ground floor of the hospital.
