Citizens Advice Camden is the leading provider of voluntary sector advice services in Camden and the largest Citizens Advice in London. We help approximately 8,500 people each year with free, confidential and impartial advice on a wide range of issues.
We are looking for an experienced generalist adviser to work on our new Camden Universal Credit Support Project. We have secured three years’ funding from the City Bridge Trust to meet the additional demand from local people for help in managing their Universal Credit claims. This will include in-depth casework and challenging incorrect decisions on entitlement. This will complement our Universal Credit Help to Claim service which supports people in making their Universal Credit claims.
Camden Universal Credit Support Project will be delivered face-to-face at outreach locations to increase accessibility for people who may not otherwise use our services. To meet the needs of working people claiming Universal Credit this will include delivering a half day advice clinic on Saturdays (frequency to be decided.)
You’ll have the ability to interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to get to the root of the issues and empower clients, whilst maintaining structure and control of meetings.
Completed applications should be submitted to Recruitment@camdencabservice.org.uk by the closing date.
Closing date: 10.00am on Tuesday, 7 May 2019
