Citizens Advice Camden is the leading provider of voluntary sector advice services in Camden and among the largest Citizens Advice in London. We help over 10,000 people each year with free, confidential and impartial advice on a wide range of issues.

We are looking for a Manager to be responsible for the management and delivery of our community advice services. This is our core generalist advice service which includes Adviceline. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing capacity and capability from our team of paid staff and volunteers, and contributing to the development of volunteer capacity. Delivering a quality assured service that meets our funders requirements and engaging with stakeholders is key. In the current pandemic situation, being agile and responsive to meet new and emerging advice demand and ensuring that our services remain high quality and accessible will be essential.

Our service is currently being delivered remotely. The post-holder will be expected to combine working from home and attending the office as needed to meet service needs, which may change as the longer-term Covid-19 situation becomes clearer.

You will have:

  • Recent experience of delivering, managing and supervising high quality generalist advice and casework;
  • Ability to meet the Money Advice and Pensions Service quality framework to supervisor level;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience of using telephony and IT systems to deliver, supervise and manage advice across multiple channels;
  • Ability to support and motivate staff and volunteers;
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to changes in client demand.
